Computers and information systems promise great career opportunities for physically disabled people. These jobs require little accommodation and they usually pay well. Training can range from vocational or career classes.

Except for those with visual impairments, computers can prove to be an ideal solution for the physically challenged. The people who are mobility impaired can work very well on computers as it required the use of fingers and vision. Hearing impaired and mobility impaired people can find various job opportunities in this field. They can various kinds of training in computers according to their interests and aptitudes. Jobs can be found in the field of programming. One can learn coding languages like php, java and ruby.

There are different kinds of software and assistive devices that can be used by the challenged people to make their working smooth on computers. For instance a hard-of-hearing person may use amplified headphones or a particularly high-powered speaker, but those are off-the-shelf additions with no bearing on Web design or programming. Or one can turn the alert-sound volume to zero, which might cause the menu bar to flash as a replacement for an audible beep.

One can also learn web designing and graphic designing. These have great scope ahead. One can be a free lancer and even can work from home. Those who can commute can also get regular job in IT related firms. MNCs like IBM, BPOs and mainstream IT companies are regular employers of people with physical challenges.
