Gaming industry is at its developing stage in India. Video games, online games and mobile phone games are in great demand. It requires a whole of creative talents and less mobility and physical work.
There are many areas of work in this industry. One can become scriptwriter, graphic designer, coder, game program level designer, game art and game tester or content developer according to ones interest, aptitude and skills. If you are good at what you do then it really doesn’t matter if you are male or female. It doesn’t matter whether you are on a wheelchair or you have speech problems or you have hearing impairment. All you need is the real passion for games.
The mobile games include the board games such as Checkers, Chess etc, sport betting games, casino games, puzzle games and word games. You would need to be expert in C & C++, Direct X Open GL, computer graphics, data structures, etc (for programmers). The designers have to be creative with an understanding interactive entertainment. Artists should have the knowledge of 3D packages like 3D Studio Max or Alias Wavefront, “Maya”, Adobe Photoshop.
