Everyone experiences “highs” and “lows” in life, but people with mood disorders experience them with greater intensity and for longer periods of time than most people. Basically there two types of mood disorders:

Depression

Bipolar Disorder

Mood disorders respond to two major forms of treatment, biogenic and psychotheraputic. The best approach is usually a combination of the two.
