For A Person With Disability
- You may be navigating your world with a wheelchair but it really does not matter as long as you take on life with the kind of humor and honesty that makes others want to blush.
- Do not push the dating scene off just because in your heart and in our mind you have reservations related to your disability.
- See yourself as a person and not as a person with disability
- Love yourself first, respect yourself and be willing to share who you are and where you want to go
- Don’t be afraid of rejection, and keep the faith. The right person is out there for you.
- Try to shed away apprehensions that you won't appear appealing to your partner. It is the heart and the mind that matters in love.
For Someone Who Would Date A Person With A Disability
- Never focus on the the disability but don't ignore it also. The disability of your partner should not be your major focus.
- Plan something accessible. Your partner will love your concern.
- Plan ahead as it can be more convenient for you and your date. You partner would love your thoughtfulness.
- The struggle to push a wish a wheelchair at a curb cut or an incline should not stop you from pursuing someone you want to be. You’ve got to just go for it because if you don’t, you could miss out on something extraordinary.
